Post-Production: Text

Post-Production:Text

I am going to explain the type of text I am producing on my site three ways:

- Is the text formal or informal?
My texts will be informal, because my target audience are working class females. The reason why I also talk informal is because I want the users to feel like we are having a one on one friendly conversation, I want them to feel like I am one of them and I am talking to them as a friend. There is no need for formal conversations, I am not aiming to be their teacher or parent. I am just a friend with inspiring tips, advice and secrets to tell another friend.

Example of the text I have used in 'hair' -

'“If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle.”
- Hilary Rodham Clinton
From girl next door to walking on the red carpet. I’ll be posting hair style tutorials, hottest hair colours and how to make your hair look and feel healthier to make life a little more easier for you! It doesn’t matter if your hair may be shorter or longer than others. Whether your hair is dull and brittle, I will save the day with many reviews on different hair products. Going to prom and need a quick fancy hair-do? Or you fancy a change and scouting for different hair colours to stand out in 2014. Well my aim is to help you and other girls who are crying out for help!'

- What is the font and colour? Is it bold or italic?
The colour of the font is just an automatic black colour. I do not want to clash colours, so I just chose a black font. The name of the font that I am using is 'Times New Roman' for introductions and 'Helvetica' for the main body. The bold font is being used when I am quoting something, just like above which is a quote from Hilary Clinton about hair. The italics are used when I am referencing the person who said the quote.

-Where is the text placed?
Titles are always in the centre of the page such as the title of the website 'One on One Beauty'.

This is what the title looks like on the homepage. Under it the tagline is placed under the title. The size of the tagline is smaller than the title of the website. Other texts are placed in the pages on 'makeup', 'body' and other pages are on the left.
